- 1 c. yellow cornmeal
- 1/3 c. flour
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 2 eggs, beaten
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/2 c. vegetable oil
- 1 can (8 oz.) cream-style corn
- 1/3 c. chopped onion
- 2 Tbsp. chopped green pepper
- 1/2 c. shredded Cheddar cheese
Directions

1Combine the cornmeal, flour, sugar, salt, baking powder and baking soda.

2Then mix together the remaining ingredients.

3Add to dry ingredients and stir until moistened.

4Pour into a greased 9-inch square pan or can be put in a 10-inch heavy skillet.

5Bake at 350° for 30 to 35 minutes, until golden brown.
