- 3/4 c. cold milk
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. melted shortening
- 1/4 c. whole kernel corn
- 1 chopped jalapeno pepper
- 1 tsp. crushed red pepper
- 3/4 c. grated cheese
Directions

1Add milk and eggs.

2Add the self-rising corn meal to the liquid and mix until smooth.

3Add shortening and mix until smooth. Add peppers, cheese and corn; mix smoothly.

4Bake at 425° for 25 to 35 minutes.
