- 2 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion, chopped
- 8 oz. grated American cheese
- 1 c. corn meal
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. soda
- 2 eggs
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1/3 c. oil
- 1 or 2 cans creamed corn
Directions

1Brown beef and onion in skillet.

2Drain.

3Sift meal, salt and soda.

4Combine beaten eggs, milk, oil and corn; mix well.

5Pour half of this in pan, then put meat over this, then put grated cheese and cover with other half of mixture and bake at 350° for 45 minutes.
