- 1 c. cornmeal
- 2 eggs
- 1 (16 1/2 oz.) can corn
- 2 or 3 peppers
- 3/4 tsp. salt
- 1 c. buttermilk
- 1 1/2 tsp. bacon drippings
- 1 medium onion
- 1/2 lb. grated cheese
- 1/2 tsp. soda
Directions

1Mix all ingredients except cheese and pour into pan.

2Cover with half the cheese.

3Pour in the rest of the batter and cover with remaining cheese.

4Bake in moderate oven (350°).

5Done when firm in center.
