- 1 can cream-style corn
- 3/4 c. milk
- 1/4 c. melted shortening
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 c. plain cornmeal
- 1 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 1/2 c. grated cheese
- 1 can chili peppers or 1 or 2 jalapenos, chopped
Directions

1Mix ingredients, except cheese and peppers.

2Pour 1/2 of mixture into greased iron skillet.

3Sprinkle 1/2 of cheese and peppers over mixture.

4Pour remaining mixture in skillet and top with remaining cheese and peppers.

5Bake at 400° for 30 to 45 minutes.
