- 2 Tbsp. fat
- 1 c. raw rice
- 1 can stewed tomatoes
- 1 small onion, minced
- 1/2 green pepper, chopped
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. chili powder
- 2 c. water
Directions

1Brown rice in hot fat; add all ingredients.

2Add enough water to cover rice.

3Cover with lid; allow to simmer until rice is tender, about 30 minutes.

4Remove lid; continue to simmer until rice is allowed to dry out.

5Do not stir often or rice will become mushy.
