  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 2 tablespoons chili powder
  • 3 cups tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • 12 cup sliced black olives
  • 1 (4 ounce) canchopped green chilies
  • 12 corn tortillas
  • 2 cups cottage cheese
  • 1 beaten egg
  • 8 ounces shredded monterey jack cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese

    brown meat& drain; add onions& garlic-cook until soft.

    add chili powder, tomatoe sauce, sugar,salt,green chiles& olives.

    simmer 15 minutes.

    Soften tortillas in hot oil& drain on paper.

    beat together egg& cottage cheese.

    in 9x13 casserole, layer 1/3 meat, 1/2 cheeses, 1/2 cottage cheese mix, 1/2 tortillas; repeat& end with meat sauce.
