  • 2 Tablespoons Canola Oil
  • 3/4 cups Brown Rice
  • 2 cloves Garlic, Chopped
  • 1/2 whole Yellow Onion, Chopped
  • 1/3 cups Tomato Sauce
  • 1-1/2 cup Chicken Broth
  • Salt, Cumin And Garlic Powder, To Taste
  • Cilantro, Chopped

Directions

    Heat oil in a medium size pot over medium heat, then add rice. Season with salt, cumin and garlic powder to taste and stir constantly. Once rice browns, add onion, and cook until onion is translucent.

    Add tomato sauce and chicken broth, and more spices to taste. Bring to a boil, then turn heat down to low and cover. Cook for about 20 minutes, or until all liquid is absorbed. Sprinkle cilantro over rice and serve.
