- 2 c. long grain rice
- 1/3 c. low-fat shortening
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1 (16 oz.) can tomato wedges
- 1/2 medium onion, sliced
- 1 Tbsp. garlic sauce
- 4 c. water
Directions

1In large skillet, pour in low-fat shortening.

2Heat.

3Add rice.

4Cook over medium heat until brown.

5Add 4 cups water, tomatoes, sliced onion and garlic sauce.

6Stir well.

7Bring to boil; reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes.
