- 1 c. uncooked rice
- 1 Tbsp. olive oil
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 clove garlic
- 1/4 c. minced onion
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- 1/3 c. tomato sauce
- 2 c. water
Directions

1In skillet heat oil and butter.

2Add rice and cook until light brown.

3Add onion and garlic and saute until onion is tender.

4Add salt, pepper, tomato sauce and water. Stir once or twice.

5Cover and simmer 25 minutes.

6Do not stir or uncover.

7Fluff with fork. Let sit 5 minutes.
