  • 1 large garlic clove, minced
  • 1 medium onion, diced
  • 1 to 2 Serrano peppers or 1 can green chilies and add hot peppers to taste
  • 2 medium tomatoes, peeled and chopped
  • 2/3 c. tomato puree
  • 1 tsp. red wine vinegar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. sugar
