- 1 lb. hamburger meat
- 1 (8 oz.) jar picante sauce (I use mild)
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1/2 c. water
- 2 c. grated Mozzarella cheese
- 1 can Durkee fried onions
- 1 (12 oz.) box jumbo pasta shells
Directions

1Cook shells by directions (drain).

2Brown hamburger meat (drain excess fat).

3Mix picante sauce, tomato sauce and water together. Add 1/2 cup sauce mix, 1/2 cup cheese and 1/4 cup onions to meat. Pour half of remaining sauce into bottom of 9 x 13-inch Pyrex dish. Stuff shells and put into dish.

4Pour remainder of sauce over shells.

5Bake shells (covered) 30 minutes at 350°.

6Uncover and top with remainder of cheese and add onions.

7Return to oven just to brown onions and melt cheese.
