Mexican Shrimp

  • 1 small onion
  • celery to taste (1 to 3 pieces)
  • 5 to 10 strips bacon
  • 1 Tbsp. flour
  • chili powder to taste (1 to 3 tsp.)
  • 1 c. water
  • 2 c. tomatoes
  • small can baby peas
  • 1 Tbsp. sugar
  • small bag frozen or fresh shrimp

Directions

    In large skillet cook together onion, celery and bacon until bacon is cooked.

    Add flour and chili powder; mix well.

    Slowly pour in water, cook about 15 minutes.

    Add tomatoes, peas and sugar, cook 15 minutes.

    Add shrimp and cook until shrimp is warmed through.

    Serve over cooked rice or noodles.
