- 1/4 cup light-colored corn syrup
- 1/4 cup coarsely chopped almonds
- 3 slices cooked and crumbled center-cut bacon
- 1 teaspoon butter
- 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
- Dash of kosher salt
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- Parchment paper
Directions

1Combine sugar and corn syrup in a 2-quart glass bowl; cover with plastic wrap. Microwave at HIGH 2 minutes. Stir in almonds. Microwave at HIGH 2 minutes or until edge of mixture is a light caramel color. Stir in bacon, butter, vanilla, and salt. Add baking soda, and stir until foamy. Quickly pour mixture onto a jelly-roll pan lined with parchment paper; spread to 1/4-inch thickness. Let stand 30 minutes. Break into pieces; store in an airtight container up to 1 week.
