Microwave Caramel Corn

Ingredients

  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 c. white Karo
  • 1 stick butter
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 4 qt. popped corn

Directions

    Place popped corn in brown paper bag.

    In a microwave dish, cook brown sugar, syrup and butter until it boils.

    Cook 3 minutes, stirring after each minute.

    Remove from microwave and add baking soda.

    Stir well.

    It will foam up.

    Pour over popcorn in paper bag.

    Shake well.

    Cook on High for 1 1/2 minutes. Remove and shake well.

    Cook another 1 1/2 minutes.

    Remove and shake well.

    Spread out on cookie sheet to cool.
