- 4 egg whites
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1/2 c. sugar
Directions

1Beat egg whites with cream of tartar until frothy.

2Gradually add sugar, one tablespoon at a time, while beating with an electric mixer.

3Continue beating until the meringue is very stiff and glossy.

4Spread meringue over warm, cooked pie filling, sealing at edge of crust.

5Microwave on Low for 4 minutes.

6Bake at 425° for 6 minutes or until golden brown.

7Cool on wire rack.
