Ingredients
- 3/4 cup flour, all-purpose
- 1/4 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 tablespoons corn syrup, light
- 14 ounces milk, sweetened condensed
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1/2 cup chocolate (semi-sweet) semi-sweet chips
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350F (180C).

2Mix together the flour, 1/4 cup sugar and 1/4 cup butter until crumbly.

3Press into a greased 8- inch square pan.

4Bake for 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown.

5Cool.

6Caramel Layer.

7In heavy saucepan, melt 1/2 cup butter.

8Add the corn syrup and the sweetened condensed milk.

9Bring to a boil and cook 12 to 15 minutes, stirring constantly, until mixture turns medium caramel color.

10Do not let burn.

11Remove from heate and stir in vanilla.

12Pour over crust.

13Cool.

14Melt chocolate chips and spread over the caramel layer.

15Cool until set.

16Cut into bars or squares.
