- 4 c. rye flour
- 2 c. wheat flour
- 1 c. riced potatoes, solidly packed
- 1 cake yeast (1 oz.)
- 1 Tbsp. salt
- 1 pt. hot potato water
- 1 tsp. caraway seed
Directions

1Pour potato water in mixing bowl.

2When lukewarm, add yeast dissolved in 1/4 cup of the lukewarm liquid.

3Stir in rest of ingredients; knead until smooth and elastic.

4Let rise in warm place until doubled.

5Form into loaves; place in pans.

6Let rise. When double its bulk, bake in a 375° oven for 1 hour.

7Brush top with water.
