- 7 lb. beef
- 1/2 bushel apples
- 2 cans cherries (not pie filling or candied)
- 2 lb. raisins
- 2 lb. currants
- 2 qt. apple cider, boiled
- 2 c. cider vinegar
- 2 lb. brown sugar
- 2 lb. white sugar
- 4 Tbsp. cinnamon
- 3 Tbsp. allspice
- stock from meat
- 1 c. suet or 1 lb. margarine
Directions

1Boil and grind the beef.

2Peel, core and grind apples. Combine all ingredients; mix well.

3Bring to a boil; simmer for 1 hour.

4Ladle into hot, clean jars.

5Seal.

6Process 1/2 hour in boiling water bath.

7Let stand 6 to 8 weeks before using.
