- 12 lb smoked sausage
- 1 loaf miniature party rye rounds
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 cup thousand island dressing
- 16 ounces sauerkraut
- 10 slices swiss cheese
Directions

1Slice sausage into 1/4 inch pieces.

2Drain the sauerkraut.

3Cut cheese slices into 1/2-inch x 2-1/2-inch strips.

4Melt butter in small skillet.

5Brush rye bread with butter on both sides.

6Place on baking sheet.

7Toast at 400F for 5 minutes.

8Turn.

9Remove from oven and build Rubens ending with cris- crossed cheese slices on top.

10Bake for 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly.
