- 1 1/2 c. water
- 1 c. sugar
- mint leaves
- whiskey
Directions

1Take a double handful of mint leaves and crush them well until bruised.

2Drop leaves into a saucepan of boiling water.

3Add sugar and let boil until thick syrup if formed.

4Pack julep glasses full of crushed ice.

5Pour 1 teaspoon of mint syrup over ice.

6Add enough whiskey to fill glasses.

7Serve with a sprig or mint.
