  • 1 c. sugar
  • 2 c. plain flour
  • pinch of salt
  • 2 tsp. soda
  • 4 Tbsp. cocoa
  • 1 c. cold water
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

    Mix thoroughly salad dressing and sugar.

    Sift next 4 ingredients.

    Add alternately with 1 cup water.

    When thoroughly mixed, add vanilla.

    Beat approximately 2 minutes.

    Mixture will be thin.

    Pour into 2 cake pans lined with wax paper or 1 sheet pan, greased and floured.

    Bake at 350° until toothpick comes out clean when inserted.

    Handle carefully.

    Frost with Soft Chocolate Frosting.
