  • 2 cups red cabbage, shredded
  • 2 cups green cabbage, shredded
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 medium carrot, coarsely grated
  • 1 cup coarsely grated raw turnip
  • 12 cup granulated sugar
  • 34 cup white vinegar or 34 cup wine vinegar
  • 13 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 12 teaspoons salt
  • 1 pinch pepper
  • 1 pinch dry mustard
  • 12 teaspoon celery seed
