Ingredients

  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup cocoa
  • 1/4 cup instant coffee granules
  • 1-1/4 cup sour cream
  • 2 eggs, lightly beaten
  • 1/3 cup butter, melted
  • 1 pkg. (6 oz.) semisweet chocolate morsels
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • walnuts

Directions

    Combine first 6 ingredients in a medium bowl, stir well.

    Combine sour cream, eggs and butter in a large bowl, stir well.

    Add flour mixture to sour cream mixture, stirring until blended.

    Stir in chocolate morsels and, if desired, pecans.

    Pour batter into a greased and floured 9x5x3-inch loaf pan.

    Bake at 350F for 50 to 55 minutes or until top appears glazed and sides pull away from pan.

    Let cool in pan 10 minutes, remove and let cool completely on a wire rack.
