Squash Casserole

Ingredients

  • 4 lb. yellow squash
  • 1 medium onion
  • 1 tsp. pepper
  • 1 Tbsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. water
  • 1/2 stick margarine
  • 1 c. mushroom soup

Directions

    Slice squash and onion in saucepan.

    Cook in water over medium heat about 20 minutes.

    Drain in colander.

    Mash and add all other ingredients.

    Place in baking dish and cover top with 1 cup grated American cheese.

    Bake at 350° for 20 minutes.
