Ingredients

  • 8 lb. small green tomatoes, cut in quarters
  • salt water (1/2 c. salt and water to cover tomatoes)
  • 3 lb. brown sugar
  • 1 pt. white vinegar
  • 1 Tbsp. cinnamon
  • 1 Tbsp. ground cloves
  • 1 lb. seedless raisins

    Soak tomatoes in salt water 2 hours.

    Drain well.

    Combine remaining ingredients.

    Add tomatoes and cook slow over a low flame until tender (about 30 minutes).

    Seal in jars while hot.
