Mock Wild Rice Casserole

  • 1 c. rice, uncooked
  • 2 cans beef consomme, undiluted
  • 1 stick margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. rosemary
  • 1 large can mushrooms

Directions

    In a large skillet, brown uncooked rice with the margarine. Heavily butter (or Pam) a standard size casserole dish (1 1/2-quart).

    Pour in browned rice, then add consomme and mushrooms with juice, rosemary and salt to taste.

    Stir.

    Bake for 1 1/2 hours or until well done at 350° with cover lid. Serves 6.
