  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 c. sweet milk
  • 2 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks whipped margarine or 8 oz. carton soft whipped margarine
  • 1 c. Crisco
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream together margarine, shortening and sugar.

    Add eggs one at a time, beating after each.

    Add flour and milk alternately. Stir in vanilla.

    Save 1/2 cup batter to add to icing.

    Bake in lightly greased tube pan at 300° for approximately 1 1/2 hours.
