  • 3 c. plain flour
  • 5 eggs
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 3/4 c. sugar
  • 2 sticks (6 oz.) whipped margarine (I use Chiffon)
  • 1 c. Crisco Puritan oil
  • 2 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Cream together margarine, oil and sugar.

    Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.

    Add flour and milk alternately, beginning and ending with flour.

    Stir in vanilla. Reserve 1/2 cup batter for icing.

    Bake 1 1/2 hours at 300° in lightly greased and floured tube pan.
