- 2 c. molasses
- 1 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. whipping cream
- 1/2 tsp. soda
Directions

1Mix molasses and sugar in a saucepan and bring to boiling point.

2Add the thick cream, reduce flame to low heat (265°) and continue cooking until a sample makes a hard ball when put in cold water.

3Add the soda and beat until thick.

4Pour onto a buttered platter.

5As edges cool, turn into center.

6When cool enough to handle, pull until light colored and stiff enough to hold its shape.

7Cut into small pieces.
