- 2 pkg. dry yeast
- 1 c. lukewarm water
- 1 c. Crisco
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1 c. boiling water
- 6 c. unsifted flour
- 2 eggs, slightly beaten
- 1/3 to 3/4 stick melted butter
Directions

1Completely dissolve yeast in lukewarm water; set aside.

2Mix Crisco, sugar and salt.

3Add boiling water.

4Cool slightly.

5Add beaten eggs and mix.

6Add flour and yeast alternately.

7Mix thoroughly.

8Cover.

9Let rise until double.

10Flatten on lightly floured board.

11If too sticky, add a little more flour.

12Cut out like biscuits.

13Dip each piece in melted butter.

14Place in layers in greased and floured Bundt pan.

15Cover.

16Let rise until double. Bake at 300° for about 1 hour, until lightly browned.
