  • 1-1/2 cups white grits
  • 6 cups water (do not add salt to the water)
  • 3 beaten eggs
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 1/2 lb grated longhorn cheese
  • 1/2 lb grated sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1 tsp season salt
  • dash tabasco
  • dash paprika

Directions

    Prepare eggs, buter and cheeses and have ready for quick combining

    Bring water to boil and add grits slowly. Cook until done.

    Add salt and tabasco. Immediately add eggs, butter, longhorn and chedder cheeses to the hot grits. Stir until egg, butter and cheese are well combined.

    Pour mixture into a lage baking dish (pre-buttered. Sprinkle with Paprika.

    Bake at 250 degrees 1 to 1-1/2 hours depending on the depth of baking dish or until lightly brown and puffy all over top. Good with fish.
