- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 c. mashed potatoes
- 1 pkg. yeast
- 1/2 c. lukewarm water
- 2/3 c. butter
- 2/3 c. margarine
- 1 c. milk
- 6 c. sifted flour
- 2 eggs
Directions

1Mix sugar, salt and potatoes in a bowl.

2Dissolve yeast in water.

3Melt butter and margarine in milk over low heat and add to sugar mixture.

4Cool to lukewarm.

5Add yeast and half of flour. Beat eggs and add to remaining flour.

6Combine the two mixtures and mix well.

7Let rise 1 hour.

8Stir down and place in refrigerator.

9When ready to bake, melt more butter and dip small, elongated rolls of dough in it.

10Place rolls of dough in well-buttered ring mold, making only two layers.

11Bake at 350° for 30 to 40 minutes.

12When serving, tear off bread with fingers instead of cutting.

13Serves 8 to 10.
