- 1 pkg. dry yeast
- 1/2 c. warm milk
- 1/2 c. sugar
- 1 c. butter (sticks)
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. milk
- 2 eggs, well beaten
- 3 1/2 c. self-rising flour
Directions

1Place salt, sugar and butter in a bowl; add warm milk.

2Add 2 cups flour.

3Let yeast dissolve in warm water; add to flour mixture and beat well.

4Add eggs and remaining flour.

5Stir in well.

6Cover and let rise in warm place for 1 hour until double in bulk.

7Melt 1 stick of butter in small saucepan.

8Roll out dough on floured board and cut out with biscuit cutter.

9Dip biscuits in melted butter to coat both sides.

10Place in pan, overlapping layers.

11Cover and let rise for 1 hour.

12Bake in moderate oven at 350° for 45 minutes or until golden brown.
