- 1 c. corn meal
- 1 c. flour
- 3 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, slightly beaten
- 1 c. milk
- 1/2 c. oil
Directions

1Preheat oven to 425°.

2Grease well an 8 x 8-inch pan.

3Combine dry ingredients; make a well in the center. Blend egg, milk and oil in small bowl, then pour into dry ingredients.

4Stir only until moistened. Pour into prepared pan. Bake at 425° for 30 minutes. Serve hot.
