  • 2 (8 oz.) pkg. Mozzarella cheese
  • 1 c. all-purpose flour
  • 2 large eggs, slightly beaten
  • 3/4 c. fine bread crumbs
  • 1/2 tsp. Italian herb seasoning

Directions

    Cut Mozzarella into cheese stick sizes and place in a Ziploc bag containing the flour and herb seasoning; toss to coat the cheese.

    Remove cheese from bag and gently shake to remove excess flour.

    Next dip in the egg and roll in the bread crumbs, coating well.

    In a 2-quart saucepan or deep fryer, heat oil until hot. Fry cheese sticks about 30 seconds, or until golden.

    Remove with slotted spoon and drain on paper towel.

    Do ahead.

    Coat cheese sticks but do not cook.

    Freeze, then fry as needed.
