- 1/4 c. vegetable oil or melted shortening
- 2 c. self-rising corn meal
Directions

1Preheat oven to 450°.

2Grease skillet or pan and preheat. Beat egg in bowl; then add remaining ingredients and blend well. Pour batter into prepared pan.

3Bake 20 to 25 minutes.

4Makes one 9-inch skillet or one 9-inch square pan.
