- 1 gal. apple cider
- 2 (2-inch) cinnamon sticks
- 15 whole cloves
- 3 1/2 c. orange juice or ginger ale (optional)
Directions

1Fresh unpasteurized cider works best.

2In a large, heavy pot, combine cider, cinnamon and cloves.

3Taste the mixture.

4If the cider lacks flavor, add the orange juice or ginger ale.

5Warm over medium heat for about 45 minutes.

6Do not boil!

7With a slotted spoon, remove the cloves.

8Serve hot in mugs.
