Mulled Latte

Ingredients

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 strips orange peel 1-inch
  • 2 whole star anise
  • 6 whole clove
  • 12 whole allspice
  • 3 tablespoons coffee beans good quality, freshly ground
  • 1 5/8 cups water filtered

Directions

    In a small saucepan, heat milk and spices over medium heat until steamy. Remove from heat, cover and let steep for 10 minutes, then strain out spices.

    Grind coffee (a coarse grind is preferable for use in a French press). Place 30 grams of ground coffee in your KitchenAid(R) Precision Press. Tare weight. Pour 450 grams of boiling water over top of beans. Set the timer and let steep for 4 minutes, then press.

    Fill mugs half way full with hot coffee. Top with warm milk (frothed if desired). Serve warm and enjoy!
