Mushroom Casserole

Ingredients

  • 3/4 stick margarine
  • 1 c. milk
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1/2 c. sharp cheese, grated
  • 1/2 c. sherry
  • 1 c. flour
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 4 oz. mushrooms, chopped
  • 4 oz. crab meat, drained (or cooked shrimp)

Directions

    In saucepan, melt margarine.

    Add flour; stir.

    Add milk and soup.

    Lower to simmer.

    Add egg, mushrooms, cheese and crab; stir well.

    Simmer until cheese melts.

    Add sherry and stir.

    Pour into lightly buttered ramekins.

    Bake at 375° until bubbly and brown on top (approximately 30 minutes).

    Excellent side dish with steak.
