- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 c. sliced mushrooms
- 1 tsp. grated onion
- 1 Tbsp. flour
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. pepper
- 1 c. milk
Directions

1Melt butter over low heat in a heavy saucepan.

2Stir with wooden spoon.

3Saute onion and mushrooms in butter for 5 minutes. Blend in flour and seasonings.

4Cook over low heat until mixture is smooth and bubbly.

5Remove from heat.

6Stir in milk.

7Bring to a boil; boil 1 minute, stirring constantly.

8Cook until thickened. Serve over noodles, potatoes, etc.
