Mustard Sauce

Ingredients

  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 Tbsp. dry mustard
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cornstarch
  • 1 egg yolk
  • 1/2 c. coffee cream
  • 1 1/2 tsp. cider vinegar

Directions

    Mix sugar, mustard, cornstarch and a pinch of salt in a heavy saucepan. Add egg yolk and mix well.

    Heat coffee cream to near boil. Add to egg mixture and mix well.

    Place over medium heat and stir until thick.

    Slowly add vinegar, beating constantly. Serve warm over meat.
