My Favorite Bread Pudding

- 2 sticks margarine or butter
- 3 eggs
- 1 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 can evaporated milk
- 2 c. milk
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 1 large loaf French bread (day old)
Directions

1In a large mixing bowl, beat butter, eggs and sugar until smooth. Add evaporated milk, whole milk and vanilla. Cut French bread into small pieces and place in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

2Sprinkle lightly with tap water (avoid soaking). With large spoon, stir into bread pieces the egg and milk mixture. Bake for 1 hour at 350° or until nicely browned.

3Delicious hot or cold, alone or with someone.
