"My Homemade Kahlua"

Ingredients

  • 10 c. water
  • 6 c. sugar
  • 20 to 25 heaping tsp. instant Maxwell House coffee
  • 1 vanilla bean before cooking or 3 oz. vanilla extract after cooking
  • 1/2 gal. vodka (Fosnoff, 110 proof)

Directions

    In large kettle combine and heat to a boil the water, sugar, coffee and vanilla bean.

    Let cool.

    Then add vodka.

    Bottle it and store in a cool, dark place.

    The longer it sets, the better it tastes!
