  • 12 oz. sweet potatoes
  • 4 Tbsp. margarine
  • 1/4 c. cocoa
  • 1 1/2 c. sugar
  • 3/4 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 c.milk
  • 1/4 c. plus 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 3/4 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 pie shells, unbaked

Directions

    Cook sweet potatoes, peel and mix with margarine.

    Add sugar. Sift flour, cocoa, salt and baking powder together.

    Add to potato mixture.

    Add eggs and milk.

    Beat well.

    Add vanilla. Pour into pie shells.

    Bake at 300° for 45 minutes or until crust begins to brown.
