- 3 lb. ground beef
- 1 large onion
- 1/2 tsp. garlic juice
- 1 tsp. salt
- 24 oz. tomato sauce
- 4 or 5 Tbsp. chili powder
- 1 Tbsp. paprika
- 1 tsp. cumin
- dash of pepper
- 2 c. water
- 1 can pinto beans
- 2 Tbsp. cornmeal (optional)
- 2 Tbsp. flour (optional)
Directions

1Brown meat and onion.

2Add all other ingredients except water and beans; simmer over low heat (covered) 30 minutes.

3Then add water and cook 1 1/2 hours longer.

4Add beans, if desired, the last hour of cooking.
