Ingredients

  • brisket
  • 20 garlic cloves
  • package of Lipton onion soup mix
  • 2 T ginger
  • lots of onions
  • 15 oz can tomato sauce

Directions

    Preheat to 400

    Trim fat from brisket

    Pour 1/3 can tomato sauce on bottom of pan
  4. 4
    Season fat side first: 10 crushed garlic cloves, 1 T ginger, 1/2 package onion soup

    Put fat side down and season other side as above

    Pour remaining tomato sauce on top
  7. 7
    Cover with heavy aluminum foil and cook for 45 minutes.

    Then, turn brisket over (fat side up).

    Add 4-5 sliced onions

    Cover with foil (change foil frequently) .and cook at 350 for 2 1/2 more hours.

    You could add water or more sauce if needed.
