Napa Cabbage Salad

Ingredients

  • 1 large head Napa (Chinese) cabbage, finely shredded (not bok choy)
  • 4 or 5 green onions, sliced
  • 1 pkg. oriental noodle soup mix (chicken flavor)
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1/2 c. oil
  • 1/4 c. vinegar
  • 1/8 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. slivered almonds, toasted**
  • 2 Tbsp. sesame seeds, toasted**
  • pepper to taste

Directions

    Combine cabbage and onions.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight. Combine flavor packet from soup mix, sugar, oil, vinegar, salt and pepper.

    Cover and refrigerate overnight.

    Just before serving, break up noodles from soup mix into small pieces.

    Combine all ingredients and mix well.
