- 1 qt. milk
- 3/4 c. molasses
- 1 c. cornmeal
- 1/4 tsp. each: nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger
- 2 beaten eggs
- 1 tsp. shortening
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 Tbsp. sugar or honey
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Heat milk in saucepan.

2Add molasses and cornmeal to the milk. Stir until it is all mixed together.

3Now boil.

4Remove the pan from the heat.

5Add the butter, sugar, salt, nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger.

6Cool for 10 minutes.

7Stir in the beaten eggs.
