- 1 c. mashed navy beans
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. whole milk
- 4 egg yolks
- dash of nutmeg
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 1 Tbsp. vanilla
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2Cook beans well; drain and mash through colander or food mill.

3Measure the mashed beans and add sugar and milk.

4Strain this mixture through a sieve.

5Add egg yolks, nutmeg, flour, butter and vanilla.

6Mix well and beat until very smooth; pour into 9-inch unbaked pie shell.

7Bake for 30 minutes or until firm.
